The Story of Carlitos and The Trees he Planted

Carlitos, the boy portrayed on our GlobalGiving page, is now 10 years old! He is growing along with the trees he planted six years ago with his parents. He continues accompanying his mom and dad to the reforestation sites during their yearly visits and enjoys every minute of it. 

When he spoke with MBF, he told us that reforesting is very important because “some people cut trees and don’t plant any new ones and then we would be left with no trees at all.” Carlitos reminds all of us of how reforestation efforts not only benefit the forest and the monarchs but also raise awareness about how individuals can make a difference.
